道顿堀河畔散步路的点评
点评：Monday 5th May and we visited the canal district of Osaka, known as Dotonbori. It was one of the itinerary stops our Osaka Castle and Dotonbori District Tour.
We were dropped off at Dotonbori Bridge and we had one hour and twenty minutes to explore before being picked up by the coach.
Our Guide informed us that construction of the Canal began in 1612 by Nariyasu Dōton, it was completed in 1615, shortly after Dōton's death. The canal is named in his honour, Dōtonbori, means Dōton's Canal.
We walked along one side of the canal from Dōtonboribashi Bridge to Nipponbashi Bridge a distance of around 550 metre, then back along the other side.
Both sides of the canal were lined with lots of buildings which housed a plethora restaurants, food kiosks, bars, shops and so much more.
The front of the building were covered in large neon signs and figures. Would have loved to have stayed longer to see them illuminated at night.
There were a number of clubs as well, these were not open during the day. The canal area is the centre of the City's nightlife, it was also a hub of activity during the day with a friendly and fun vibe.
An outstanding feature that towers over the Canal is the Ebisu Tower Ferris Wheel, which we did take a ride on (reviewed separately).
A number of boats provided cruises along the canal. As we walked along the canal pathway there was even a band performing live music from a pontoon in the canal. There was such a relaxed laid back atmosphere here
Standing on Dotonbori Bridge it is great viewpoint to look along the Canal and see the buildings that line it's banks.
This was a wonderful experience and we loved everything about here and enjoyed every minute.

高耸于运河之上的惠比寿塔摩天轮是一大亮点，我们坐了下来（已单独点评）。
许多游船提供运河游船服务。我们沿着运河小径漫步时，甚至有一支乐队在运河的浮桥上现场演奏。这里的氛围非常轻松悠闲。
站在道顿堀桥上，可以俯瞰运河两岸的建筑，视野开阔。
这是一次美妙的体验，我们喜欢这里的一切，享受每一分钟。
