Great views of the City and Port illuminated at night
天保山大摩天轮的点评
点评：Monday evening 5th May we disembarked from our cruise ship, Celebrity Millennium and walked the short distance to Tempozan Village where this wheel was located.
We had been here earlier in the day but decided it would be better to take a ride in the evening when everything would be illuminated.
We saw information boards from which we learnt that the Wheel is 112 metres (369 feet) high with a diameter of 100 metres (330 feet). It dominates the skyline around the Port abd beyond. For a short period of time it was the world's largest Ferris Wheel, but no longer.
We purchased our ticket office, the adult fare was 900 Yen roughly £4.50. We were asked did we want a glass bottomed pod or a standard one, same price. At the time of our visit the waiting time was 30 minutes, there is only one, or get straight on the standard ones, that's what we did.
The Wheel glided around, as the lighting constantly changed colour illuminating the structure. As the wheel went around we got views of the surrounding area illuminated at night, this included the impressive Tempozan Bridge, Tempozan Village, our cruise ship in the Port Osaka Aquarium and Osaka City.
