点评:Why were we alone?
From the time we pulled into the parking lot until we reached the top of the Alps, there was only one other family with us. I’m still confused as to where all the crowds were for this stunning, do-not-miss adventure.
This was our second trip to Japan, and everywhere else we went was uncomfortably crowded with tourists. But not here. On the way back down, we even stopped for lunch at one of the cafés, and we were the only family in the café and gift shop.
welcome surprise aside, the ropeway itself was exactly what we hoped for: a smooth ride, spectacular views, clean facilities, and excellent organization.
We even spotted a goat-like antelope creature that we aptly the “goatalope” (or “antegoat,” if you prefer).
At the top, there were photographers eager to take your picture.
Go. See the top of the world.
The scenery, from the train ride to the ropeway and throughout the surrounding forests, valleys, and mountains, was absolutely spectacular. We hope to come back someday and spend even more time exploring this beautiful part of Japan.
