点评:On February 26, 2025, my family visited Camp Nelson National Monument. This was our family's first National Park. We spent nearly four hours there and still did not get to see everything. Granted, we have a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old in tow, so everything is done at a much slower pace. We will definitely return another time to finish what we were unable to see.
Both of my daughters completed the Junior Ranger program with Ranger John. Ranger John interacted with them with such care, asking questions and talking to them about the park. He was very hospitable, offering to take our photo as soon as we arrived on sight. He went above and beyond to help us, answer questions, and provide insights for the Junior Ranger program, stamping our new books, and even some book recommendations. Today was my wife's birthday, and even she received a little token of appreciation. Don't let the other post fool you... Ranger John is awesome!
So is Camp Nelson. Go. You will learn a lot, get some exercise, and have fun.
