点评:My husband and I just happened to chance upon Acetaia San Matteo while looking for a stop on route to our next destination.
What an amazing tour (just the two of us). We sat under a covered area and listened to Sandra share some history about the farm, while we watched her father drive his 1963 Lamborghini tractor.
She then took us into the farm house. We went from room to room, where detailed explanations about the process of making balsamic vinegar were shared.
The building itself is beautiful and contains the barrels, and batteries of balsamic. It is meticulously clean and well cared for. In these rooms, Sandra shared with us delicious samples of a variety of different aged balsamic vingear - amazing!
At the end of the tour, we were able to purchase some balsamic vinegar to take home with us.
On two occasions, Sandra offered us bottles of water.
Thank you Sandra, for the interesting tour and for sharing your passion and knowledge about the art of balsamic vinegar making.
