点评:Although this park is used by dog walkers, the Russian who commented dogs can be off leads in anywhere except the dedicated dog park area is completely incorrect. There are signs everywhere warning of fines if dogs are not kept on leads. Please respect the rules and the wildlife.
There is also a dedicated children's park with fun and learning apparatus.
The great thing about the park, apart from the multitudinous bird life, occasionally grey squirrels, and the flora and fauna, is the myriad of paths you can walk. You can choose to walk around the field perimeters, around by the water pond, or right through the woods where you might be lucky to pick up a knocking woodpecker, or glimpse a majestic bird of prey.
There is also a small cafe serving cakes and beverages. On a sunny day, seating out front and back are a lovely way to pass some time.
Parking is plentiful in the main car park, and there is limited pay and display on the Old Bray Road side.
A walk around the whole park is around 6k steps.
The park is beautifully maintained by on site vehicles and equipment, and there is even limited bench seating on the manicured grass as you enter.
Refuse bins are provided at each entrance, and there are numerous rest benches dotted around.
Excellent site for bird watching, restful strolls or just taking in nature. Highly recommended.
