点评：Extremely disappointing experience with Mondadori. I received gift cards and added them to my Mondadori account, believing this would allow me to safely keep the credit and use it whenever I wanted.
Big mistake.
Once the gift cards were added to my account, Mondadori’s system hid the full gift card numbers, showing only ***** and the last four digits. I no longer had the physical cards, because I had already registered them on my account.
When I later tried to use the €33.42 credit, I was asked to provide the full gift card numbers — numbers that Mondadori’s own system no longer allows me to see.
So basically: you add the gift card to your account → Mondadori hides the number → you need the number to use the gift card → but you can no longer access it.
A ridiculous and completely avoidable loop.
I have contacted customer service multiple times, explained the situation repeatedly, and provided screenshots proving that the gift cards are registered on my account and belong to me. Instead of actually solving the problem, they keep asking me for the complete numbers — even though I have explained several times that I don't have them anymore because I added the cards to their system.
This is not customer service. It is a complete failure of responsibility.
The €33.42 is already paid money. Mondadori has received the payment, the gift cards are visible on my account, and yet I am unable to use my own credit because of the way their system works.
Gift cards are supposed to make things easier. With Mondadori, apparently they can become a trap.
I strongly recommend NOT purchasing Mondadori gift cards unless you intend to keep the physical card and complete code forever.
After this experience, I certainly will not be purchasing them again.
