点评：I went on a 6-hour tuk-tuk tour in Gozo in Mar 25 "Malta: Gozo Full-Day Tuk-Tuk Tour and Lunch." I am giving this tour 5 stars ONLY because of the driver Stephen. There will be 2 separate comments below, addressing the driver and tour and addressing the vehicle/safety.
We’ll start with the positive. Stephen was a very safe driver, attentive, informative, friendly, and engaging. What a delight to spend the day with someone so knowledgeable about the area, sights, and events within Gozo. As noted below, I had a few complaints during the tour and Stephen always smoothed things over and did anything he could to ensure I was comfortable and happy with the tour. We had MANY stops on this tour and if you only have one day in Gozo, Stephen is the man to take you. I was able to see most of the island in the short time I was there. By far, the most amazing view was the Sanap Cliffs. Ride was a bit chilly in the tuk-tuk, but most of the stops were sunny and comfortable. 5-stars to Stephen for his demeanor, engagement, knowledge, and caring nature! A plug for the drivers…PLEASE remember to tip them!! I was the only one out of 6 people that tipped Stephen!
I was disappointed with Yippee Tours’ apparent motivation to get as much money out of each trip as possible. I was very disappointed to arrive at the tuk-tuk at the ferry port to find 6 full grown adults packed into 2 rows of 3 in the tuk-tuk. I was the last to arrive and found it difficult to even get into the vehicle. Ride was bumpy (due to bad roads) and many times I did not feel safe (at times felt as though I’d be bounced right out of the vehicle). I would highly suggest the company focus more on customer comfort and satisfaction than packing the tuk-tuks so full where they become unsafe. I suggest the company allow a choice for 2 or 4 persons in the tuk-tuk (at an increased price) but at least ALLOW me the choice. I usually take private tours as they are much more comfortable and would have paid more to have less people in the vehicle. Several times during the tour, I discussed leaving the tour and heading to the lunch spot by Uber because of the lack of safety and complete discomfort in the tuk-tuk. 1-star for the comfort and safety…buyer beware!
