A magical day sailing!

点评：Second time we have sailed with Torridon Sailing Tours.
First time was for half a day two years ago, when we had some great wind but cloudy weather. We loved it!
This time we went for a whole day - the wind was variable but we had blue skies and sun for most of the day! On the way out of Shieldaig we saw the Sea Eagle chick learning to fly (and to land in the trees, no mean feat), dolphins, seals, a porpoise, a small whale (sorry I forget which one) and guillemot father and sons swimming. Once we got out of the sea loch, the low winds further out meant that we took a break from sailing, anchored up by Red Point beach and went ashore there for a quick stroll on the beach. It felt like somewhere mediterranean but without the crowds. The way back was a combination of sail and power and we saw dolphins twice - once herding fish for feeding and then by the bow of the boat for a few leaps.
A magical experience! Julian and Janine are great hosts - so many interesting discussions and stories and the day flew by. Lunch and snacks were excellent. We have visited the Torridon area for holidays a number of times and this day will remain as one of the highlights for a long long time to come.
