伯克自然历史和文化博物馆的点评
点评：Visiting Burke Museum yesterday was a delightful experience .
Huge collection on National History that is very interesting and fascinating to go through
Also the only one I have seen in Seattle so far presenting multifaceted Native American / Hawaii and Pacific islands - artifacts culture costume totems etc. The playing of Native American words / language gives a real feel on communication . Also the challenges and impact on the community due to colonisation is well presented.
The presentation is lucid of every aspects of archaeology ,paleontology and more - enough for a school student or laymen to understand . The presence of students and being near University also adds to the enthusiasm of visitors
Displays of Darwins Theory of Evolution and how cells plants animals grow is very well presented in visually appealing models and one is able to see linkages
Fascinated to learn 1st time how archaeologists go about their jobs identifying areas , digging without damaging and researching on each place. There is a section on Seattle also although there is a similar section in MOHAI of layers of development of the city
The see thru glass work places of museum professionals and their display tables on what they are working helps understand process and subjects very well and is something I have seen for the first time.
Also activities were going on for children / students including to my surprise a Hindi language teaching class as well
Outstanding museum which seems lively and communicates well with the viewer than just a passive presentation of objects
Has a great cafe and a museum shop, lockers for bags , water coolers and rest rooms

博物馆专业人员的透明玻璃工作间以及他们展示工作内容的展台，有助于更好地了解工作过程和主题，这是我首次看到。
此外，还为儿童/学生举办了各种活动，令我惊讶的是，竟然还有一门印地语教学课。
