点评:So Diamond Cave is an interesting one, at 200baht per adult you can imagine expectations being relatively high. Thankfully I’ve been to similar sites across the globe and charged considerably more so I seen this as a bargain.
The Diamond Cave is easily walkable from the main walking street and beach on Railay albeit at points the walk to it feels a little off the beaten path and uncertain. Sure enough, a short walk and you find yourself at the start of the cave.
It is 130 metres to the end of the cave and back walking on a wooden walkway made of logs. It’s not impossible to do in flipflops just be sure to watch your step and by all means don’t rush!
The cave itself is a nice break from the heat, walking into the rock you immediately start to get a respite as the cooler temperatures consume you. As you’re walking amongst the stalagmites and stalactites you can hear plenty of bats flying well above you. For those a little unsure of bats don’t worry they are a good 50ft or so above you but if you stand still and are quiet you can see them moving around.
We visited first thing in the morning and were the only people in there, a really cool experience!
