The Gulf Breeze Zoo的点评
点评：I was appalled with the Gulf Breeze Zoo. The animals lack enrichment activities in their enclosures, the enclosures are extremely small, and the animals spend their begging for food from visitors. The four lioness sharing a small space had a small dirt enclosure that did not resemble their natural environment. I saw one lioness that looked emaciated. The giraffes area was not any better, with only a hot metal shed for shade.
This zoo is focused on visitors purchasing food to feed the animals, explained as animal encounters. What people see is animals who beg for food and do not know how to behave as normal animals.
The Gulf Breeze Zoo is no longer AZA accredited. The zoo says it is ZAA accredited, which has much looser and lower standards.
I do not recommend Gulf Breeze Zoo to anyone, it is expensive and does not treat the animals with respect.
