Epic Day Out to Islay – Scenery, Whisky & Great Craic!

点评：We had an absolutely incredible day out with Abháinn Cruises – an experience we’ll be talking about for years to come! Seven of us set off from Ballycastle on a big RIB, heading across the Irish Sea to Islay for a whisky experience, and it couldn’t have been a better date out.
From the start, Tim (our skipper) and his son Oran made us feel completely welcome. Their local knowledge, humour, and easygoing nature set the tone for a fantastic day. The banter was some craic, and we felt like we were out with old friends rather than just on a tour.
The views along the North Coast were breathtaking, and the detour around Rathlin Island was a brilliant and unexpected bonus – packed with history, wildlife, and stories. Once we hit Islay, the whisky experience was class! We visited “Bruichladdich Distillery“, who also make Gin“The Botanist”, which we’d highly recommend, lovely team there, and finished off in “Laphroig’s Distillery”. Island is stunning, with friendly residents. Smooth crossings, stunning scenery, and plenty of laughs.
If you’re looking for a unique, fun day exploring the Irish coast and a bit of Scotland too, this is it. Can’t recommend Abháinn Cruises enough – thanks again to Tim and Oran for an unforgettable day! Andrew, Sharon, Michael, Andy, Sophie, Colin and Janice
