点评:I really enjoyed the movie and the theater itself. The tickets were $24 for my grandson and me, which I thought was very reasonable. The concession prices, however, are another story.
We ended up paying $28 for a large popcorn and two large drinks. I actually wanted two small drinks and a small popcorn, but there wasn’t a combo available. A small fountain drink costs $7.50 each, so $15 for two small drinks is simply unreasonable.Popcorn and fountain drinks have some of the highest profit margins in the industry—they’re basically kernels, syrup, and cups. I understand concessions are where theaters make much of their money, but these prices feel excessive and leave customers feeling taken advantage of.
Please do better. I like this theater and will be back, but I won’t be purchasing snacks or drinks there again unless the pricing becomes more reasonable. I’m sure my decision won’t make much difference because many parents and grandparents don’t want to disappoint their kids once they’re at the concession stand. Still, charging prices like these feels wrong on a moral level. Making a fair profit is one thing, but taking advantage of families is another.
