ETHICAL TOUR AND A MUST FOR ANIMAL LOVERS

点评：I booked Stingray Sailing because of their commitment to animal welfare — and honestly, it showed from the very first moment.
As an ethical animal behaviourist, this mattered hugely to me. Being in the stingrays’ natural habitat, watching them choose to come to us, was everything I hoped for and more. Chip and his assistant clearly know their stuff — the stingrays absolutely loved them. So many gathered around us calmly and willingly, which tells you everything you need to know about how they’re treated. Animals don’t fake trust.
Sadly, it was genuinely upsetting to witness another tour guide nearby grabbing a stingray, physically restraining it and carrying it over to his group just for photos. That kind of handling sickened me to the core. These beautiful creatures learn by consequence — they associate gentle, respectful humans with positive experiences, not being manhandled and unable to escape. The contrast between tours couldn’t have been clearer.
Our experience with Stingray Sailing, though, was outstanding. Calm, respectful, educational, and genuinely ethical. Everyone on board had a brilliant time, and it felt good knowing we weren’t contributing to harmful practices.
Logistically, they were spot-on too — Chip only takes cruise passengers on these trips, so he completely understands how important timings are. We were collected smoothly and got back to the ship with zero stress. All refreshments were included, which was a lovely bonus, and the catamaran itself was gorgeous — plenty of space to sunbathe, plus shaded areas if you preferred to chill.
If animal welfare matters to you even a little, this is the company to choose. Ethical, knowledgeable, professional — and a truly unforgettable experience done the right way.
