Good Frank Lloyd Wright Tour

点评：The design and architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright is enjoyable to take in and Taliesin West was no different. I thought the tour was well done and enjoyed the narration of the self guided tour. The snippets of Frank Lloyd Wright talking were interesting. It did a good job of brining out, explaining his design concepts while experiencing them first hand. In a few areas the ability to sit in his designed furniture while taking in audio information on the room and furniture as a cool experience. It was interesting learning about Wright's work that was completed in AZ.
A couple other thoughts:
* I am on the fence on a self guided auto tour with headphones vs. a live guided tour. To some extent it was nice as gave ability to hear everything and go back if didn't hear something easily. It allowed one to be kind of immersed in the tour. On the other hand it also made it kind of impersonal. Even if in a group of people everyone has headphones on and any shared experience is a bit diminished. There were a few guides along the tour for questions, but..
* The tour fee is a bit high at approx. $40, especially when taking into account very little interaction with any guides or personal touches of a tour.
* Ability to see additional areas within the property with the core tour would have been nice.
I am glad I took the tour and added another Frank Lloyd Wright tructure to my list of toured buildings. If you are not familiar with Frank Lloyd Wright this will give you a good overview of some of his concepts and all the structures he has played a part in.
