Save your time and money. This is a scam to make you pay for car parking to attend a venue that is derelict

点评：Do not waste your time or money visiting this derelict shopping centre. We visited on a Wednesday afternoon in July 2025. Before you actually get to see the shops you have to pay £2.40 to pay for car parking on the App for just 1 hour. At this point you have no clue that 80% of the shops are closed and of the two units that are open they have less on display than a church jumble sale half an hour before closing. This place is a shadow of its former self. There was no cafe open, the old Dartington glass shop now has a few pieces on display in what used to be the food shop. The food shop has little more than a couple of packets of shortbread, crisps and a jar of marmalade. Everything is spread about to try in a dreadfully poor attempt to make it look busy. The old kitchenware shop has gone. The whole place is a disgrace. The two people serving behind counters looked frankly embarrassed to be there.
The Dartington Estate which owns The Cider Press Centre presumably keep the doors open to entice potential customers into the car park where they can be fleeced before they find out that they have had a wasted journey. Shame on you Dartington Estate. You need to close the place down, have a think about if there is a market any longer for this kind of retail experience and if there is you need to invest major money into a relaunch. Meanwhile, stop ripping people off by charging for car parking to visit an empty venue.
