点评：We booked Thai Elephant Home - Bareback Elephant Riding and Bathing- Full Day which included lunch. There were a lot of different reviews about the ethical treatment of elephants. The 10 elephants this company owns were very well treated and cared for very well. They limited writing to one person bareback preventing the elephants from being over taxed. All of their elephants are domesticated and very well behaved and they used positive reinforcement to solicit the response that they wanted. We were picked up at our hotel taken into the camp and given elf and trainer clothes and a brief introduction to Thai Elephants before meeting and feeding sugar came to our elephants. After that each individual elephant had its own trainer that work with the elephant for 12 to 14 hours a day and had a very strong relationship with them. Each participant was given an elephant to ride and taught how to give simple commands. We rode the elephants approximately an hour up into the jungle across the river where the elephants played in the mud and ate while we ate lunch and relaxed. After lunch, we rode the dolphins back down to the river, where we had a chance to bathe the elephants and play in the water with them, which was very refreshing for them and us. I felt safe and well cared for the entire time with a elephant trainer, walking either behind or alongside every elephant. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. And I would highly recommend this company for their ethical treatment of their elephants, their professionalism and genuine care for the elephants and the tourist.
