This is the best Nicaragua day tour to choose from Costa Rica

点评：My husband and I did a day trip to Nicaragua from Costa Rica. I had found a similar trip for cheaper, but someone at the hotel recommended we spend a little more for this experience. This was excellent advice. They took pictures of our passports to give to Nicaraguan border authorities ahead of time to ensure a seamless border crossing.
Gustavo picked us up at our hotel at 5:15 am as planned in advance. We were in a comfortable van and he drove us to a restaurant for breakfast before crossing the border. The food was excellent. During the drive, he also gave a lot of information about Costa Rica.
When we arrived at the border, he got us through with no hassles and it was fast-maybe 30-40 minutes. Other guests at our hotel told us they went with another tour company who took them on a bus and it took almost 2 1/2 hours for them to cross!
When we got across, we met up with Elvis who gave a lot of information about Nicaragua and took us many places. We went to Playa La Virgin, Lake Nicaragua where we did a boat ride, San Juan Del Sur, Volcan Masaya, Grenada, Catarina and Rivas. We had lunch in a colonial home and the food was excellent. We went on a horse drawn carriage ride, went to a chocolate factory, and saw so much more. We did some shopping as well. It was truly an amazing experience and I highly recommend it.
Crossing back into Costa Rica was seamless and fast again. We were back at our hotel by around 7:30 or 8 pm. On the way back, I asked to stop at a Starbucks and that was no problem either. This is the tour to do if you want to have a well organized day trip to Nicaragua and see as much as possible in one day.
