Hidden Valley The Puzzle Park的点评
点评：Long driveway into peaceful, well-maintained landscaped grounds with a mix of planting in the middle of a conifer plantation. Tidy buildings, well-presented. Note for those driving a distance: you need to get your tickets before you can access the toilet and takeaway café (seating area round the corner).
We enjoyed the grounds and the tiny dwellings of Tremuddlewick, but found the puzzles and trails too difficult, often not having a clue what the questions meant. The map has very little marked on it to get your bearings.
There was a very friendly man on reception but no other staff visible apart from ne gardener some distance from the buildings so if you need help there is no way of getting it. Warning: Once inside the huge Old Mansion, a puzzle itself as all the doors are locked no matter which way you turn, so anyone claustrophobic is strongly advised not to go in here as there is no way to call for assistance to get out when having a panic attack. (The man on reception has CCTV but he's busy with customers, and with no Help call button, no-one will hear you screaming). Obviously, we did not go near the panic room after finding ourselves trapped in the Mansion . .
There is a little train with only a few seats, running a few times, eg 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm, so if you don't get on an early ride you won't get a ride at all.
The takeaway café was understaffed with just one person serving, making all the drinks, and preparing the hot food and cream teas, so think about taking a picnic.
Expect to be goblin-befuddled and tricked, trapped, confused and frustrated, or go to enjoy the pleasing grounds.
