点评:I would not recommend Pro Dive Cairns. They failed to disclose a critical “medical policy” until after the boat had already departed, leaving us with no choice but to forfeit half the dives we paid for. My husband is a Type 1 diabetic and we’ve dived all over the world without any issue. Apparently, in Queensland, diabetics are restricted to only two dives per day. That may be a local rule, but we submitted our medical forms 3–4 weeks in advance, paid for nitrox that morning at the shop in person before departure. At no point did anyone mention this limitation until we were already well at sea.
This failure to communicate game-changing information was extremely frustrating and avoidable. The staff on board were pleasant, but the damage was already done. To make matters worse, their customer service afterward was dismissive and unhelpful, taking no responsibility for the mistake. Their response was that it was on their website, but who scours websites for information they don’t even know exists and doesn’t exist anywhere else in our diving history? Plus, we provided medical release forms as mentioned. What should have been a highlight of our trip was ruined by poor processes and a lack of accountability.
Travelers deserve transparency upfront so they can make informed decisions before committing time and money. Sadly, Pro Dive Cairns did not provide that, and we left deeply disappointed.
