Another incredible adventure in the jungle with the professionals at Nomadic Waters

点评：Just finished up a trip into the jungle with the crew from Nomadic Waters. This was my second visit into the Amazon with Michael and his incredible staff and we all had an incredible trip. From the moment we cleared Customs in Manaus, to checking our bags to fly home, we were taken care of completely by Michael and his crew. I’ve traveled extensively over the last 30 years to fish and I can’t think of another trip where I had the level of service that I received from Nomadic Waters. The hotels on either end of the trip were fantastic, our drivers and hosts for dinners were the best and safety was never a concern. It’s incredible just how dialed in things were considering how many moving parts are involved in a jungle adventure. The food was also out of this world.
In my two trips to fish in the Amazon the one thing I’ve learned is that you have to be flexible based on water conditions. That’s just part of fishing and the crew at Nomadic Waters did an amazing job pivoting due to unusually high water conditions, which was the complete opposite of the low water conditions we experienced last year. I can’t even begin to detail the effort and hard work that Michael and his staff delivered to give us the best opportunity to have a great trip based on the circumstances we were dealt with considering the water conditions. We had tough fishing at times, and incredible fishing at times but we all had the opportunity to tangle with some real trophy peacock bass. And once again, the guides that we fished with were some of the best human beings I’ve ever fished with. Super skilled, hard-working, super friendly and great to be around. The Nomadic Waters guide staff is top notch and we the real highlight of the experience. Can’t wait to get back down there in 2026!
Ps. The lodging was incredible as well. Hard to believe you can be that comfortable in such a remote place in the world!
