点评:A very wide and spacious theme park inspired by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, spread out into five distinct zones. My visit lasted about 2–3 hours, and covers “Fairy Tale Hill Zone” and the “Castle of Flowers Zone”, which are near the Southern and Western zones of the park. These two areas are full of late spring blooming flowers at the moment, and these include roses, snapdragons, and many other colourful flowers. The flowers and the park are very pretty, and I most highly recommend! Those with kids might even wish to venture into the Wampaku Kingdom Zone, and easily spend the entire day here. We also visited on a weekday morning, so the park was quiet and not too crowded.
Entry fee 900 yen per adult is buying the ticket on the spot. Seniors above age of 65 get free entry, but note that you must be 65 to qualify (i.e., passed your birthday); all you need is to present your passport at the gate. For parking, I recommend the Southern Parking Lot, which is very close by to the windmill and the flowers. Parking fee is 500 yen per normal-sized vehicle. Do note that you need to move very close to the exit gantry for it to open; the not-so-responsive gantry did leave us confused for a moment.
