Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park的点评
点评：This is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the middle keys! If you are interested in fossils, Keys history, botany, and/or herbalism, this park - and the phenomenal tours they offer - are a must-see!
Carl and Mike were the very friendly and funny at check-in and, after a hilariously awful misunderstanding on my part, I was the only person taking the $2 tour of the park. If they are offering a tour, TAKE IT. Mike was insanely knowledgeable, giving all sorts of history, pointing out every species of plant, and answering questions. I was shocked when he said he is new at giving tours - that guy is a natural.
Before you leave, stop in at the ranger station to see a photographic history of Windley Key. Worth the additional 10 minutes of your time.
**It is hot, humid, and buggy most times of year. Bring water, reef-safe sunscreen, and bug repellant if you are coming anytime other than winter. There is plenty of shade but Florida's humidity is brutal.
