点评:We went to Pinnacles National Park for Mother’s Day, and although it was busy, it did not feel overly crowded compared to some of the more well-known national parks.
We hiked the Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop, which includes Bear Gulch Cave, and it was definitely one of the highlights of the visit. The cave was really cool, but it was dark inside when we went around 10 AM, so I would highly recommend bringing a headlamp or flashlight. There were also a few narrow spaces, but they were still manageable with some slight maneuvering.
Once you get out of the cave, if you are completing the loop, there is almost no shade, so I would also recommend bringing a decent amount of water and a hat, especially if you are not used to hiking.
One thing I appreciated was that, despite the park being busy, people were respectful and the area was clean with no noticeable litter.
Parking-wise, I would definitely suggest getting there early. The hike itself is listed as about 2.2 miles round trip from the Bear Gulch Day Use Area, but because we had to park farther away from the trail entrance, we ended up hiking closer to almost 5 miles total.
