Nice theatre but very poor customer service in restaurant…

点评：We booked tickets to see Big Big Sky on Friday 11/7 at 19:30 and a table for pre-show dinner at 18:00.
Our party was 4 adults, 3 in their 60’s and 1 who was a spritely 90 earlier this year.
Our subsequent enjoyment of the play was somewhat spoilt by the rude and anything but friendly way we were shown to our table for dinner.
We arrived at just before 6pm, explained that we’d booked a table and were shown to a table adjacent to the window that was bathed in sunshine. The restaurant was barely 20% full and we asked if we could sit at another vacant table that was also adjacent to the window but with no sunshine on it.
The blond waitress who was dealing with us told us that we couldn’t as ‘someone else had already booked it’ and when we reminded her that we’d also booked, she said that the other people had specifically asked for that table - there was no way of proving or disproving this but there was certainly no reserved sign on the table we’d asked about.
We were then ushered to another table that in all honesty was too small for 4 people. The waitress came back with 4 menus, slatted down knives and forks and then distanced herself from us!
The table we’d asked about but weren’t allowed to sit at remained empty until 19:10, when 4 people with drinks squeezed past us to sit there (because it was vacant) for 15 or so minutes before the show started.
Not good - we expected better and wouldn’t want anyone else going there to be treated in the same way
