点评：We have visited SBD many times over the years. This was our first time going after the overlook was taken out. There are plenty of amazing stops at this park. The main section of the park, the Pierce Stocking Drive, is a great section of the park for everybody. It is a fantastic stop for those who are not able to ambulate much further than their car, to the most avid hiker. The Cottonwood Trail offers a unique hiking experience along the Pierce Stocking Drive. There are a handful of gorgeous views as well that showcase Lake Michigan, North Bar Lake, and Glen Lake, among others. The Covered Bridge at the beginning of the Scenic Drive is one of Michigan's most iconic structures. Some notable non-Scenic Drive stops include Alligator Hill, Glen Haven, North Bar Lake, the Dune Climb and Pyramid Point. Glen Haven Beach is my favorite beach in the state. The Sleeping Bear Dunes Heritage Trail is a popular biking trail that connects the town of Empire with Little Traverse Lake, with the trail meandering through the park. The winter time is a beautiful time to explore the park, with incredible cross country skiing and snowshoe trail available. Park staff are very friendly. Admission fee varies depending on the length of your visit. We always opt for the season pass! Crowds are a hit or miss depending on the time of year, with most days in the summer being packed, even on weekdays. Best part of NW Michigan is this park!
