点评:Found this more by accident than by design. I'd been to the Bennington Monument and was heading to the Museum, but decided to go straight instead of turning left down the hill. I'm glad I did!!
The church is on a one-way street, with easy parking on the street. The old burying yard is enclosed by a large, white fence. Near the church, the fence opens to allow visitors to come inside. The cemetery is filled with old white marble stones, with the colonial era artwork inscribed ... and they appear to be in wonderful condition. I think I saw two that were down.
There are signs directing you to Robert Frost's grave, and that of his wife. Huge, flat stones inscribed with family information, bordered on one side by 3 beautiful birch trees, with poetry quotations: one before his stone, one before his wife's.
The hillside is steep, so those with limited mobility might need a cane, but the ground is mostly smooth. The cemetery is quiet and tranquil, with many beautiful and very large pines and maples.
A fitting resting spot for Frost as well as the other families buried there.
As of this writing, Sept. 8, 2025, the very top steeple is down, on the green in front of the church, where it is being restored and repainted.
