点评:I almost didn't turn west on I-94 at Tomah. The turn would extend my drive and make for a long day. Boy, am I glad I turned the wheel at the last moment. This state park nestled along the Mississippi River is a gem! While every state park has plenty of trails for all activity levels and sights, I chose the path that would take me to Brady's Bluff, up one side and down the other and then followed the river back, next to the railroad tracks, to the parking area. The view at the top (and when you think you are at the top, you're not really - keep going) is absolutely amazing! The path to the top has several switchbacks which helps address the grade. However, be forewarned if you go down the other side, it....goes....straight....down. While there are many rock staircases to assist in your decent, it is steep no matter how you look at it. As someone who isn't fond of heights, it took all I could muster to do it. It is not an easy hike to top and down especially when hot. But it IS worth it! My hike total was just over 2 miles. On my way back to the parking area, I had the good fortune of having a train go by, above me as the hiking trail back is below the track line.
