点评：Visiting Capitol Hill in March 2025 was nothing short of awe-inspiring. There's something deeply moving about standing in the heart of American democracy—a place where history, ideals, and governance have converged for centuries. Whether you're a political enthusiast, a history buff, or simply a curious traveler, Capitol Hill offers more than just grand architecture—it offers perspective.
The Capitol Building itself is majestic, and the grounds surrounding it are immaculately kept, blending solemn tradition with living beauty. Spring was just beginning to bloom, and I was lucky enough to capture some stunning shots of the blossoming trees framing this iconic symbol of governance.
But what took my breath away was the Library of Congress. I expected books and marble columns—I wasn't prepared for the sheer elegance, grandeur, and intricate artistry of every hallway, dome, and mural. It feels like stepping into a palace of knowledge. The main reading room left me speechless, and the exhibits—especially those on American literature and history—were thought-provoking and beautifully curated.
Beyond the aesthetics, both locations made me reflect on the power of ideas, the endurance of institutions, and the value of access to knowledge. I left feeling not only impressed but also inspired.
