拉什莫尔山国家纪念公园的点评
点评：We absolutely loved Mt. Rushmore!! The entire area is very visitor friendly, with nice parking structures and a ton of great photo ops! We spent about 4 hours in the morning here, it is not super busy if you arrive around 8 am. or a little earlier (visitors center opens at 8). We saw Star at 10am, she was an amazing Lakota Native American dancer who told stories about her people and way of life, and performed several dances for a large outdoor audience!
Our kids did the Junior Ranger program, and earned their badges too, really enjoying the program. We then walked the trail, which didnt take long and gave us great views closer up.
We came back later for the 9 pm Lighting Ceremony which was very moving and powerful, singing our National songs and recognizing the many veterans in attendance. A very memorable experience and well worth it!
* One parking pass is $10 and good for a week. Parking was more full at night since the upper lot was closed, so plan to get there a little early.
