Interesting place to visit before getting great steak just across the road!
Travelers' Rest State Park的点评
点评:Interesting historic site where Lewis & Clark expedition stayed in 1805 and again in 1806. A nice, but small visitor center with good exhibits with about equal Lewis & Clark and Native American focus. Visit here first to understand context of the site. There is a $8 per car fee, for everyone you can fit in.
The site is a short walk across a bridge with numbered markers for key points- be sure to grab a map at the front of the visitor center so you will know what each is.
This site closes at 5:00 PM and the lock the gate.
Just across the road is the Lolo Steak House, which is OUTSTANDING. And, very popular. They open at 5:00 PM on most nights, and usually have a line waiting which nearly fills the tables available, so visit the park and go grab a great steak. (They open at 4:30 on Sunday, so plan accordingly.
