Poorly equiped kite club

点评：During a holiday on Eubée Island I planned to rent equipment at the Marmari kite beach.
Although the seasonal team was nice (but not experimented), my experience renting equipment at this club was deceiving:
Appart for 3 brand new reedin kite all the equipment was in poor state :
- Kites were worn out after what seems to be 3 years of flapping on the sunny beach (in one of the kite I tried there was a hole in the leading edge). Some kites used for lessons were also outdated (2015-2018)
- Bars in poor shape
- Very little choice for boards which were also old and in poor state
- Harnesses were falling apart
- 1 out of 3 kites pumps were functioning
I was there at the beginning of the season (in early July) with almost no courses so I was able to have equipment for my sessions but I can not imaging being able to be properly equipped with lessons and other people renting kites at the same time.
For these reasons I do not recommend relying on this club to provide proper equipment for kite sessions.
So bring your own equipment
The spot is nice but the wind is very gusty with big holes that make you drift down wind very fast so do not hesitate to be overpowered so that you can ride upwind during the lulls.
As the wind is side shore to the beach you have very little margin for error.
It is a tricky spot for everyone, even experienced kiters.
