Excellent hike for intermediates.
Mirror Lake Trail的点评
点评：This is a really nice trail, less than a mile down the road from Gov't Camp. In the summer, there is plenty of parking, BUT make sure you buy a day parking pass for $5 from the Outfitter store in Gov't Camp!! Some, but not all parking lots at trailheads require the US Forestry Park Service parking passes.
Intermediate hikers should allow 3hrs round trip to the lake & back. Lots of shade through the woods and ups & downs. Bring hiking sticks.
There was a comment about the "stinky bathrooms" at the trail head. Well, yeah... If you hike in these places, you'll be familiar with (non plumbing) chemical restrooms, which are brick & mortar porta potties. Take a deep breath and enjoy. I don't know how often these are pumped out, but there were plenty of flies to go around, too. LOL. It is what it is. :-P
