点评：Wow, what an amazing experience! We spotted the place on the way to Elafonisi beach and decided to come back later - and how brilliant was that decision!
We booked a 1-hour tour, but our wonderful guide Helena (I hope I remembered the name correctly!) was so dedicated to answering all our questions that we ended up spending almost 1.5 hours. We thought we were aware of the meticulous organisation of the honey bee society, but we learned so many new fascinating facts, from anatomy to behavioural "programmes" to the hierarchy to the various products and by-products to the harvesting technology, that it was like a whole new subject. Helena was very enthusiastic and thorough, we really enjoyed the presentation.
In the end we were treated to three different locally produced honey varieties, as well as bee's wax based cream. There is also a shop where we happily bought a few of the products.
Highly recommended detour on your travels around Chania and Elafonisi.
