火山口湖国家公园的点评
点评：My girlfriend and I visited this location when we visited Oregon back in January. I ended up proposing to her here. The trip alone was wonderful on the way up, neither of us had ever seen that much snow in real life. We got to the park after driving up a road that was basically one lane due to the snow, and were met with such an incredible and stunning view. This park is absolutely breathtaking taking in the winter. The lake itself is huge, wizard island is a great sight to see, and it was so peaceful and serene getting to be there.
Since we visited in the winter, they do have a lot of the parks schedules changed, or hiking trails are closed or are only accessible for a certain time of day, so if you visit in the winter like we did take precautions. Snow shoes are a definite must as well if you plan on walking on the snow! The snow around the first station, as well as the cabins and the shop a bit farther in was easily 10-12 feet high in some areas. They carved stairs out of the snow you had to climb to get a good view of the national park. Overall a gorgeous 10/10 experience, definitely will be coming back here in the future!
