Stunning Views But Service Missed the Mark

点评：Domaine Carneros is undeniably beautiful. The château alone is worth the visit - gorgeous architecture, sweeping vineyard views, and an overall elevated, classy atmosphere. It’s also incredibly Instagrammable, with guests dressed to match the chic setting, making it a great spot for photos.
That said, the service left much to be desired. It was clear they were very busy, but our server, Gabriel, lacked any real personal touch. He poured our sparkling wines, gave a brief explanation of each, and then disappeared - never checking back in. It felt transactional rather than hospitable.
I was also celebrating my 40th birthday, which was noted by the hostess with a card at our table, but it was never acknowledged by our server. A small gesture would have gone a long way.
I opted for the “Sparkling Château Tasting,” but surprisingly didn’t enjoy the last two pours, which were described as their most aged and premium offerings.
If I were to return, I’d likely go for the most basic tasting, set lower expectations for service, take in the views, snap a few stunning photos, and move on.
