点评:On our trip to Badlands National Park our favorite hiking trail was the Notch Trail. You start in a parking lot that is the trailhead for both this trail and The Wall trail.
After a short fairly level hike you come to the ladder - a wooden ladder that takes you up a hillside where the trail continues. You wind your way through sandstone rock features, sometimes a narrow trail with a good drop (that you do not want to experience).
The end of the trail (before you loop back) is "the notch", a gap in the Badlands hills where you have views of the White River Valley. It's only a 1.5 mile roundtrip trail but with the somewhat tricky ladder and other uneven terrain it's a trail for someone with good mobility and comfortable with some up and down exertion.
