点评：I typically to get out to Badlands National Park once or twice a year, and have been doing so for about the last 15 years. When there, most often, I stay in the city of Wall, usually for 3 or 4 nights. One of the places in the city I have really grown to appreciate is Wall Drugs. At first blush, I am sure a lot of folks think of the store as being full of touristy “kitsch.” But I have come to appreciate it for so much more, an example being the impressive and extensive collection of original, western paintings and art on the walls in the restaurant area. Another of the store’s impressive assets is the jewelry department which offers a wide selection of authentic Indian handwork, as well as various pieces of Black Hills gold. On my last trip to Wall this month, I spent some time perusing the wares offered and, with the knowledgeable help of the sales manager, Dorreen, selected a nice pair of earrings for my wife. Kudos to Dorreen. She knows her merchandise well and can talk about it easily and thoroughly with the folks that stop in her department. Thanks, Dorreen!
