A very enjoyable hike! Arrive early

点评：I was thankful for the many reviews on this hike to make our experience with this hike perfect! We arrived around 7:30am and didn't have to wait too long to purchase tickets and get on the boat shuttle. My daughter and I took a slower approach getting up to hidden falls. We spent time taking in the views and it paid off because we got to see a black bear cross the river just below the falls! We continued our hike up to inspiration point. We took our time and there was a spot where it was just one way on the narrow path with a drop off to the side. We let other hikers pass so my daughter wouldn't feel rushed. She climbed it slowly but made it no problem. We spent time at inspiration point taking in the view and eating snacks before we headed back down. At hidden falls, we took a different path down to the boat shuttle then we took on the way up. The views of the river were so beautiful, we took our time taking in those views.
The return boat area filled up FAST as we were waiting for my husband and son so another reason to get an early start on this hike.
Since we took our time on this hike my husband and son were able to head into Cascade Canyon. They only went part of the way but still got to see a moose and a bear before they decided to turn around and come back. If you have the time and the energy on this hike, be sure to include part of Cascade Canyon in your plans.
Be sure to bring lunch/snacks and lots of water.
When we got back to our car, the parking lot was full plus cars parked on the street. We traveled late August when the crowds at the park weren't bad anywhere else on our trip but here the lot fills up so make it an early stop.
