Great collection of Native American artifacts
El Paso Museum of Archaeology的点评
点评：This small museum has an excellent collection of pottery and woven items from area Native American tribes, including some that are thousands of years old. It also has extensive history exhibits about the tribes, highlighted by life size dioramas of different eras of Native American history and information about local archaeological sites. There’s an interesting exhibit about fake artifacts, too. It’s a free museum and not the most modern, but there’s a lot here. I learned about several other archaeological sites in the region and in Mexico that this museum made me want to visit. The docents weren’t that knowledgeable about all of them but one recommended the incredible but somewhat obscure Three Rivers Petroglyph Site, which I added to my trip itinerary and which was a highlight of the trip.
