点评：Here are some tips for you if you decide to visit the Dino Monument on the Utah side (which is better than the Colorado side).
My family of 4 (teens 19 and 17) really enjoyed the park. We arrived on May 30th and decided to hike the Hog Canyon and Box Canyon around 4PM. I would highly recommend hiking at this time or later. These hikes will be mostly in the shade after 4PM, which is nice because it can get really hot during the day. WATCH OUT FOR POISON IVY on the Hog Canyon Trail. There are signs that show you what it looks like so you can avoid it. Only a few areas that have it and it is easily available. You will see some wild orchids on this hike which was a nice surprise. There are restrooms in this area as well.
We went back on May 31 to visit the quarry area. Make sure to be here at 8am before the crowds show up and the heat of the day begins. When you get to the tram located behind the visitor center,ride it up to the quarry and hike down the Fossil Trail. Don’t go to fossil quarry right away since everyone else will; start the hike. If you ride the tram up and start the hike from the top, it is a nice leisurely stroll down hill. If you decide to start the Fossil Trail from the bottom you will have to hike up hill in the heat. Once you hike down, ride the tram back up again (or drive your car up) and then go to the quarry, which is inside and out of the heat!
