点评:I enjoyed the architecture of the town as I drove in Ashland on the way to the tunnel. After purchasing the tickets I took a stroll outside and read the message center looking signs that they had, along checking out the tons of petrified trees, coal and machinery. The mine cart reminded me of a hayride and the descent down was a bit spooky yet fascinating. The cool air with a hint of smoke felt like you were inside of a humidifier. The occasional drips of water descending from the darkness made me jump a bit. The tour guide was cheery and did a great job explaining the history of the mine. It was mind boggling to see the size of the veins! The fungi was fun to hunt for too!
My family also enjoyed the steam train. It really felt like you were taking a step back in time! The outlook and the site of the top of the vein was neat. The Mrs. Ts pirogies and kielbasa references were such a wholesome nod to Pennsylvania.

我的家人也喜欢蒸汽火车。感觉就像回到了过去!矿脉顶部的景色和位置都很棒。T 夫人的皮罗吉和香肠是对宾夕法尼亚州的致敬。
