点评:We had previously walked the trail down by the river close to this nature center, and now got to go in the building as well as walk around the beautiful grounds!! What was the most fun about the visit, however, was when the gal came to allow "Shuck" (or maybe "Shucks", can't remember!) out on the grass and rocks for his weekly adventure outside! He is a beautiful corn snake with gorgeous colors and it was great to watch him enjoy himself outside! We actually talked about how snakes get rid of waste material, and then he decided to show us himself when he urinated a foamy white substance!! Who knew a snake could pee?!!? It's one of those things you wonder about but until you see it, you really don't know!! Some kids came up to see the snake also, and while the gal held the snake, I showed them how to gently pet Shuck so as not to scare him (or ruffle his scales!) She then fed him his delicious meal....live mice, I think, and while we couldn't stay to watch that part due to time constraints, the kids did! Very fun place! Also saw some beautiful birds coming to eat the seeds at the feeder on the short trail outside the building.
