点评：Results – September 8th Breckenridge Brewery tasting report
25 ballots were submitted. Each of six brews was graded from 1 to 10. The sum of all grades divided by 25 produced the rankings which follow:
1st rank 7.36 – Avalanche Amber Ale
2nd 7.20 – Oktoberfest – Märzan - German Lager
3rd 7.00 – Vanilla Porter
4th 6.98 – Holidale (Whiskey Barrel-Aged Christmas Ale)
5th 5.98 – Palisade Peach Wheat Beer
6th 5.88 – Juice Drop Hazy IPA
Several familiar brews from this nearby brewery were included in this month’s selections. Earlier residents will recall that both the Avalanche Ale and Vanilla Porter were once available on tap in the Fireside restaurant and the Tavern. Three years ago, Breckenridge was introducing the Palisade Peach Wheat Beer and it took top honors with our fledgling beer tasting group. It receives a lower ranking this time as it competes with Avalanche and Vanilla Porter. Oktoberfest, the only lager, received 2nd highest honors, and the new Holidale modification of the popular Christmas Ale (10.7% abv, 4-paks) ranked close behind the Porter.
All told, with three choices ranked 7.0 and above, Breckenridge brews are in a class with the Iron Mule and the 105 West breweries in Castle Rock. These are the three top scorers of the 27 breweries we have sampled so far.
