Interesting and engaging....
South Bass Island的点评
点评：Though visiting Put-In-Bay has been on our bucket-list for quite awhile; we were unaware that South Bass Island was so much more.
After the enjoyable Miller Ferry ride over to the Island; we rented a cart and spent about 7 hours exploring the Island.
We did several of the main attractions (the spectacular Peace Memorial, the informative Island Museum, the antique auto display, etc.); but we spent the majority of our visit riding up & down the roads... enjoying the architecture, views and natural beauty.
And, conversing with some of the people....
We had a wonderful talk with a worker repairing a section of coastline, gained some Island insights from the docent at the Museum, gained some perspective from Park rangers at the Memorial, etc.
We learned Put-In-Bay is the attraction; but South Bass Island is the community and history.
We hope to make a return visit to this interesting and engaging area (off-season again, of course, from everything we learned).
