South Bass Island的点评
点评：This is a great day trip as it is located about an hour from Toledo or Cleveland.
Of the three islands (middle Bass and Kelly’s Island are the others) South Bass/Put in Bay has the most things to do and is the most visited.
Plenty of things to do on the island for a day including the Perry Memorial National Monument, and a family fun center that has a cave, mini golf, and gem mining. There are also several small nature trails and it is fun to rent a golf cart and just drive around the island.
However, on summer weekends, the island can get rowdy and it is definitely not a place for kids. Would not recommend staying overnight either on the island, if you have kids, as almost all the hotels are adult oriented.
However, coming here on a fall weekend after Labor Day or during a summer weekday is much more relaxed and family friendly.
