Burren Birds of Prey Centre的点评
点评：The Burren Birds of Prey Centre provides a valuable education and enjoyment experience to those who may or may not be familiar with raptors. The Centre works with conservation organizations to help fund restoration of avian populations in the wild, and to educate humans on the benefits of these birds and how to help them. For example, the Centre works with the Barn Owl Conservation project to educate people so that they stop using rodent poison, as the rodents such chemicals kill, then poison local owls.
A Hawl Walk is a joyful interaction between one of the falconers, a Harris Hawk, and yourself. One is educated, by experience, into how hawks hunt, how they fly, and why their presence in the world is so vital.
In my most recent visits to the Birds of Prey Centre, I was delighted to find new falconers being trained, and the return of one of the most experienced handlers I have ever met, in the position of chief falconer. The staff's {all of them, falconers and store staff as well} are dedicated to professional and kind service and to the welfare of these birds. In my view, this is a 'must experience' adventure for children of all ages and especially for those of us who love the birds.
