点评：It was brilliant that my elderly, disabled mother was able to borrow one of the new mobility scooters so that she could access the majority of the site. Using a wheelchair is possible on most routes in these drier conditions but the scooter was a speedy revelation!
We used the Gardener's World 2for1 voucher which made our visit even better value for money.
A special thanks to David the duty manager who helped us find the quickest route back to the cosy cafe when my mum was starting to feel cold as the weather changed to being cool with imminent rain. The cafe staff were warm and welcoming and didn't hurry us out, even though it was near closing time. We were impressed with the number of gluten free choices for a small cafe. The cherry one pictured is ghost but can't be labelled as such since it is made near to non GF products so it's ok if you're just gluten intolerant and not coeliac or extra sensitive. It was beautiful moist with just the right amount of sharpness. The cheese scone (not gf) was also delicious..
The Lyveden is a unique and it's also worth exploring the glorious wild flower meadows, in addition to the beautiful formal garden around the manor house.
