点评:Visited with my teens (15 and 17) at the end of September. Near the lake, the parking is all paid parking. We found a spot on the street downtown for free 2 hour parking. This was fine for end of Sept, but I could imagine in the summer there wouldn’t be much free street parking available. We were hoping the water sports (paddle boards and jet skis) would still be available but I can see why they aren’t, the water was extremely refreshing! The “sand” is gravel for anyone with small kids wondering. But once in the water the sand bottom is nice. There are bathrooms right there too. We walked on the floating boardwalk and then along with path towards the university. The trees and scenery were all so pretty. It was a quiet, zen, beautiful 2 hours. Then we got hungry and were hoping for lunch in a patio somewhere near the water but we couldn’t find anything close! There are 2 pier pub type places but no restaurants nearby that we could see that had patios. If there are any, they need to get listed on iPhone maps so they are searchable. We ended up driving back to Olive Garden for lunch. I would recommend visiting! 2 hours end of Sept was plenty for us.
